Bangalore:
The Congress vice-president Rahul Gandhi will be in Bangalore today where he is likely to interact with students and young entrepreneurs as part of his party's plans to seek direct feedback from people for their manifesto for the national elections, due by May.
Mr Gandhi will address about 200 youth and Congress legislators to ensure youth's involvement in the framing of national policies, a Congress leader said.
Perhaps taking a cue from Arvind Kejriwal-led Aam Aadmi Party, the Congress, which is seeking a third straight term at the Centre, has already held consultations with Dalit groups, tribals and minorities in Delhi for its manifesto.
UPA ministers Manish Tewari, Shashi Tharoor and Sachin Pilot are also accompanying the 43-year-old leader on his Karnataka trip where they are also expected to meet state Congress chiefs from 21 states in preparation for their manifesto.
"Rahul Gandhji will hold discussions with Karnataka Pradesh Congress Committee members including Chief Minister Siddaramaiah and myself on political issues relating to the state," Karnataka Congress president G Parameshwar told reporters on Friday.
