Bangalore techie death: Police refuses to rule out suicide
Bangalore: It was a gruesome discovery inside a car in Bangalore on Tuesday. The body of a young man, his head wrapped in plastic and bound with tape. His body was seen in the car by people passing by, who then alerted the police.

Police later identified him as 25-year-old Sreeraj from Kozhikode in Kerala, who was working in Bangalore in the multinational IT giant Hewlett Packard. Sreeraj's post-mortem was conducted today and the police are not ruling out suicide - bizarre as that may seem.

ACP Narasimhaiah said the case had originally been registered as a murder, but now the suicide angle was also being explored. Sreeraj was reportedly involved with a woman IBM employee in the city and the police planned to interrogate her too to try and get more information. The police say they found tablets in the car as well that have been sent for forensic examination.

Police had already ruled out the angle of murder for gain, considering Sreeraj's wallet and mobile phone had not been taken.

His family is in a state of shock. His friend, Rohit, said Sreeraj was not the kind of person to get into fights or be confrontational. He said he had no idea as to what had happened.
