Bengaluru: Gulshan Chopra, a techie at Genpact, was working late as usual on Monday night. Then, at around midnight, he killed himself by jumping off the ninth floor of his office.
He had returned to Bengaluru after a week's visit home in Punjab, said police sources.
He had been in Bengaluru working with Genpact for the last one year and 3 months. He was staying in a PG accommodation in Madiwala in the city with a man called Sahu as his roommate, a Deputy Commissioner of Police said.
His family has said that the 32-year-old was engaged and his wedding had been set for November. Though he appeared depressed, he had not complained of any work tension or problems, they told the police.
In Bengaluru, Mr Chopra lived alone.
