City police nab 84, seize valuables worth Rs 2.15 crore

Bangalore: Cracking different cases including looting, chain snatching, dacoity, housebreak and theft, police nabbed 84 accused and seized Rs 2.15 crore worth valuables from them.

The recovered valuables included 2.513 kilograms of gold ornaments, 1.6 kilogram of silver, 21 four wheelers, 43 two wheelers, 26 laptops, 11 mobiles and 5 computers, worth Rs2.15 crore in all, City Police Commissioner Jyothi Prakash Mirji told reporters today.

He said the accused were involved in crimes in Bangalore, Kolar and Hyderabad.

Major haul was from banaswadi where the police arrested11 persons detecting 14 cases and seized Rs 27 lakh worth goods from them.

The other significant seizures were by commercial street police who nabbed 11 persons in 24 cases and recovered goods worth Rs 25 lakh from them and arrest of two accused in three cheating cases by Shivaji Nagar police and recovery of goods worth Rs 24 lakh from them.
