Bangalore:
A debt-ridden 32-year-old woman committed suicide at Chokkasandra in Peenya police station limits on Monday.
The deceased has been identified as Bhagya, who was working at a garment factory. She was married to Jagadish, an auto driver, about 15 years back and the couple had a 10-year-old daughter.
The police said that the couple had some debts and were not in a position to repay them.
Bhagya was upset over this and hanged herself at her house when her daughter had gone to school. The incident came to light late.
