Bangalore: A 22-year-oldengineering student allegedly committed suicide by hanging himself in hishostel on Monday, police said. The deceased was identified as R H Devaraju.
A native of Nelamangalataluk, Devaraju was doing his sixth semester in Mechanical Engieering at theAmbedkar Institute of Technology here, police said.
No suicide note wasfound.
Quoting his friends,police said Devaraju was prone to suicidal tendencies and had consumed sleepingpills twice earlier due to exam fear but was saved after being rushed tohospital.
With the sixth semesterexams fast approaching, he had decided to take the extreme step again, policesaid.
