Fed up with husband's first wife, woman commits suicide

Bangalore: A 25-year-old woman allegedly committed suicide by jumping from a four-storeyed building after reportedly pushing her two children from the terrace. The incident happened near Bangalore today.

While the woman, Anuradha, and her five-year-old daughter died on the spot, her one-and-a-half year old son suffered head injuries and has been admitted to National Institute of Mental Health and Neuro Sciences in Bangalore, police said.

Anuradha was the second wife of Shyamsunder, a car driver, whose first wife and two children were also staying with them in a two-bedroom apartment in the building, sources said.

Neighbours said Shyamsunder and his first wife used to quarrel frequently with Anuradha. She allegedly took the extreme step as she was fed up with the squabbles, police said, adding, Shyamsunder and his first wife are absconding.
