Bangalore: A private finance firm manager was shot at by two robbers when he pressed the alarm button as they tried to rob the firm at Mariappanpalya area this morning, police said.
Sudhakar (50), Manager at Mini Muthoottu, has been admitted to a private hospital and is stated to be out of danger, Superintendent of Police, Ramanagara Anupam Agarwal said.
Two persons wearing helmets entered the firm at around 10:45 hrs when only Sudhakar and a woman employee were present, he said.
One of them whipped out a pistol and demanded that all cash and jewellery be handed over. When he hit the alarm button, he was shot at, after which the duo escape on a bike with another man waiting outside.
A search was on to nab the robbers, he said.
