Bangalore:
A Deputy General Manager of a multinational computer company has been arrested on a charge of producing tampered marksheets of his wife's Pre-University Certificate and degree mark sheets to land himself a job, police said.
The 33-year-old man was arrested on July 9 on the basis of a complaint by his wife, who found her mark sheets fudged, a police statement said.
The man had used these mark sheets to secure a job in a software company in 2005 where he worked as a manager till 2008. He later worked for another company as Director (marketing) from 2008 to 2011.
He also used it to get admission and obtain a degree from the Indian Institute of Management, Kozhikode, it said, adding the marksheets have been seized.
Police said the couple, with a three-year-old daughter, had differences over some issues. The woman, working in a multinational company, had decided to move out and stay with her father and took her mark sheets with her and found them fudged, following which she lodged a complaint.
