A Manipuri student is in hospital after he was attacked by three drunk men last night when he allegedly tried to stop them from harassing a young woman.
The 21-year-old under-graduate student was hit on the head after he asked the men to stop making vulgar remarks about the woman.
He was rushed to hospital by people who witnessed the attack.
Police said they are searching for the assaulters.
Last month, a young man from Manipur was attacked in a restaurant by men who demanded that he should speak in Kannada and not English.
