A retired Air Commodore, Parvez Khokhar, was found dead in his home in the Huskura area of Bengaluru Rural district on Monday morning.
The police said the body of the 70-year-old retired Indian Air Force officer was found in his bedroom. He was killed sometime between 11.45 pm on Sunday and 6 this morning, when the body was found, the police said.
Air Commodore Khokhar lived with his wife in their home at the Smile Green estate. His two daughters live in Delhi.
No arrest has been made so far.
Air Commodore Khokhar had served as the chief Test Pilot for the Tejas Light Combat Aircraft and also as an attache in the Indian embassy in Pakistan.
The police have registered a case of murder.
