Six workers die in fire at seat making unit in Bangalore

Bangalore: Six workers were killed in their sleep after a private seat making unit caught fire in Bangalore today.

The workers had stayed in the factory godown after their shift ended in the night, fire brigade sources said.

The bodies of five victims were recovered from the spot where they had slept, while another body was discovered nearby, indicating that the person had tried to escape, the sources said. Eleven fire tenders were rushed to the spot to put out the fire, they added.

The cause of the fire was not immediately known.
