Bangalore: The body of a 22-year-old engineering student was found inside a suitcase at his room in Hunasamaranahalli on Thursday evening.
The police said it was the body of Piyush Sinha, a native of Jharkhand, who was studying in VII semester at Sir M Visvesvaraya Institute of Technology. As did not attend the last exam of his semester on Thursday, his friends called his mobile phone which he did not answer.
Later, they saw a pool of blood in his room when they went there after the examination.
They found his body in a suitcase after searching the room, the police said. Piyush's friends alleged that one of his classmates may be behind the murder. Police have taken a student into custody and are investigating the case.
