Bangalore: A 43-year old woman cashier of a public sector bank was murdered allegedly by the watchman of her apartment in Bangalore today, police said.
A senior cashier with the State Bank of Mysore, Anusuya had left the bank to have lunch since her house was nearby.
She had entered the lift to proceed to her apartment when watchman Ashfaq, a native of Assam, allegedly slit her throat, they said quoting eyewitnesses.
A hunt has been launched for Ashfaz, police said adding the motive for the murder was under investigation.
