Bhopal:
Bhopal Police today launched its website in a bid to make its functioning more transparent and enable citizens to get quick access to the necessary information.
The website, www.bhopalpolice.com, was launched by Madhya Pradesh Home Minister Uma Shankar Gupta at a function in the Police Control Room in the presence of Director General of Police (DGP) Nandan Dube and other senior police officials.
"With the launch of the website all information about Bhopal Police is just a click of the mouse away," Mr Gupta said on the occasion.
The Home Minister advised other districts of the state to develop similar facility.
All relevant information about the city police, including list of officers and their numbers, updates on serious crimes, forms pertaining to tenants and senior citizens and press notes will be available on the site.
Information about route diversion in the state capital due to any important function or programme will also be available on the website.
The DGP said that development of the website is an endeavour towards making police functioning more transparent.
Earlier, Inspector General (Bhopal) Vijay Yadav introduced the website at the function and shared information available on it for the people.
