Fire at BHEL plant put out, no casualties reported
Bhopal: A major fire that broke out at the Bharat Heavy Electricals Limited's (BHEL) plant in Bhopal on Wednesday morning has been extinguished after four hours of firefighting.

The fire started from BHEL's transformer block number three around 10 am, spokesperson of the company said.

No casualties or injuries were reported in the incident so far, he said.

More than 10 fire tenders from the Bhopal Municipal Corporation, city airport and BHEL's own fire station were pressed into service.

The cause of the fire is yet to be known, the official said, adding that further investigations were on.
