Founder-owner of Bhopal's iconic hotel passes away

Bhopal: Founder-owner of city's iconic Jehan Numa Palace Hotel, Yawar Rashid passed away in Mumbai. He was 59 years old, sources said.

Mr Rashid had been diagnosed with pancreatic cancer about two months back and his treatment was going on in Mumbai, where he breathed his last on Tuesday, family sources said.

He is survived by his wife and two sons.

Madhya Pradesh Tourism, Sports and Youth Welfare Minister Tukojirao Puar has expressed grief over the demise.
