Bhopal: Another child victim is anine-year-old Arman Miyan who is mentally retarded and suffers from cerebralpalsy as well.
Chingari Trust Managing TrusteeRasheeda Bee said that the number of kids suffering from mental retardation,cerebral palsy and multiple disabilities born to the victims of Gas Tragedy was10 times higher than the national average figures.
"More than 100 kidssuffering from mental retardation, cerebral palsy and multiple disabilities, visionproblem were come to our rehabilitation centre," she said.
"We help these specialchildren and try to make them normal kids. We provide them speech therapy,treatment and all care," she said.
"Before admitting a kid weensure that its parents were gas affected," she said adding "we don'tcharge any money from these special children's parents.
The NGO has got around 24 kidsoperated upon for different problems since the organisation started functioningfrom September 2006.
"Kids born to the victims ofGas Tragedy were suffering from mental retardation, cerebral palsy and other disabilities,"an NGO Sambhavna Trust Clinic Pedestrian Dr Mohammad Waseem said.
Depression, anxiety and behaviourdisorders too were plaguing the kids born to the victims of Gas Tragedy, hesaid.
