Bhopal: Disturbed over the failing health of his 64-year-old wife, a retired general manager of a company committed suicide after fatally shooting her, police said on Saturday.
A K Shukla, 65, the former general manager of J.C. Mills, shot dead his wife and then shot himself at their residence in Paras City Colony here late on Friday.
The couple had no children.
A suicide note was recovered from the house.
Police said Shukla was disturbed over the health of his wife Asha who had a paralysis attack in April.
"As there was no one to care of his wife, he had to care of her. Her health was not improving," police officer Suresh Damle told reporters.
