Bhopal: Hot winds and humid conditions prevailed in various parts of Madhya Pradesh with the mercury soaring to 43 degree Celsius in some parts of the state, Met office said.
As many as six cities including Khajuraho, Guna and Rewa recorded temperatures of 43 degrees Celsius on Sunday.
Gwalior recorded a maximum temperature of 42.1 degrees Celsius, while Jabalpur recorded 42 degree Celsius, Met sources said.
Bhopal and Indore saw temperatures of 41.4 degree Celsius and 40.8 degree Celsius respectively, due to hot winds.
Barring a few places in the eastern Madhya Pradesh where a trough is passing over, most parts of the state are reeling under hot conditions.
