Bhopal:
Swine flu claimed its second victim in Madhya Pradesh this year, with a 67-year-old man succumbing to the viral infection at a hospital in Indore.
The senior citizen from Shivaji Nagar locality in Indore, who was undergoing treatment for H1N1 in a private hospital for the last one week, died on Monday, officials said in Bhopal on Tuesday.
The victim was admitted to the ICU on February 11 after his condition deteriorated suddenly, they said.
The test reports of the man, who has not been identified, confirmed death due to H1N1 virus, they said.
Meanwhile, three more persons were admitted in different hospitals at Bhopal with symptoms of swine flu, and their swab samples have been sent for testing.
However their condition is not serious, sources added.
On February 10, the dreaded disease had claimed the life of Shalini (40), a resident of Ujjain at an Indore hospital.
