Bhopal : A married woman threw acid on the face of a man she was having an affair with as she suspected him of harbouring bad intentions towards her daughters in Madhya Pradesh's Rewa district, police said on Wednesday.
The woman, who was arrested, said she was having an affair with the man, Mohit Sondhilya but he was harbouring bad intentions towards her daughters.
Mohit, who got badly injured and is under treatment in Sanjay Gandhi Hospital, however, said that he had lent Rs.10,000 to the woman. When he went to take it, instead of giving the money back, she threw acid on his face.
Rewa is over 500 km away from state capital Bhopal.
