An IndiGo flight going from Kolkata to Bengaluru made an emergency landing in Bhubaneswar today after a passenger fell ill, news agency ANI reported.
The passenger, a resident of Malda in West Bengal, was immediately taken to Bhubaneswar's Capital Hospital after the plane landed at Biju Patnaik International Airport, officials said.
Rajkumar Karmakar, 32, died during treatment in hospital, officials said. He had complained of uneasiness 45 minutes after the plane took off at 10.10 am from Kolkata's Netaji Subhash Chandra Bose airport, according to news agency Press Trust of India.
