Anti-corruption sleuths on Thursday arrested a college principal while allegedly accepting a bribe from a student for issuing a certificate, official sources said.
"In course of investigation a trap was laid today by the Vigilance officers and the principal of a college at Jajpur was caught red handed in his office chamber while accepting a bribe of Rs 500," an official said.
He was arrested and a case under section 7 of the Prevention of Corruption Act was registered against him, he said.
The bribe was seized in the presence of witnesses, he said.
