Bhubaneshwar: Internationally acclaimed sand artist Sudarshan Pattnaik from Odisha has been selected to represent India in the prestigious Sofia Open Sand Art Championship to be held in Bulgaria.
Ten sculptors from across the world would participate in the championship to be held between June 16 to 23.
Mr Pattnaik, who recently won the 1st prize in the Copenhagen Sand Sculpture Championship at Denmark for his sculpture 'Save the Ocean' has been invited to participate by Director of Sofia Open Sand Art Championship Plamen Zarkov.
Mr Pattnaik, who has participated in more than 50 international sand sculpture championships and won many awards, said the height of his work at Bulgaria would be three metre.
Ten sculptors from across the world would participate in the championship to be held between June 16 to 23.
