Bhagalpur:
A case was registered today in connection with unauthorised landing of helicopter of Union Minister of State Upendra Kushwaha at an election rally venue in Pirpainty in Bhagalpur district.
The case was registered at Pirpainty police station on the statement of Magistrate Anil Kumar Singh, Sub-Divisional Police Officer of Kahalgaon, Ramanand Kumar said.
Mr Kushwaha's helicopter landed at the election rally spot at Ammapaali village, instead of the authorised venue of Pragati Maidan at Shermari Bazar, he said, adding that NDA election agent Pramod Kumar Singh has been named in the FIR.
Mr Kushwaha, Union Minister of State for HRD and chief of Rashtriya Lok Samata Party (RLSP) -- an ally of BJP in NDA, had gone to Pirpainty to address an election meeting in favour of party candidate Lallan Kumar.
The case has been registered under IPC sections 188 and 287, the SDPO said.
Section 188 pertains to disobedience to order duly promulgated by a public servant and section 287 relates to negligent conduct with respect to machinery as to endanger human life or to be likely to cause hurt or injury to any person.
