New Delhi: Janata Dal-United lawmaker Satish Kumar, who defeated former Bihar Chief Minister and RJD chief Lalu Prasad's wife Rabri Devi in assembly polls, today joined the BJP after he was denied a party ticket.
Mr Kumar, who represents Raghopur constituency in Bihar, joined the Bharatiya Janata Party at the party headquarters at a press conference in New Delhi in the presence of BJP general secretary Arun Singh and national secretary Srikant Sharma.
He was denied a ticket as Tejaswi Yadav, son of Mr Lalu Prasad, is set to make his electoral debut from Raghopur assembly constituency.
