New Delhi:
Leaders from the Left parties will attend the swearing-in ceremony of Bihar Chief Minister Nitish Kumar in Patna scheduled for November 20.
CPI national secretary D Raja today informed to have received a phone call from Mr Kumar, who invited him for the oath-taking ceremony.
"Kumar spoke to me over phone and I will be attending the event," Mr Raja said.
Yesterday, CPI (M) general secretary Sitaram Yechury had stated that he will be attending the ceremony, and had added that Mr Kumar had also invited Tripura Chief Minister Manik Sarkar.
Six Left parties including CPI and CPI (M) had contested the Bihar polls held over five phases in October-November as an independent bloc against the JD(U)-RJD-Congress Grand Alliance, and the BJP-led NDA.
The Left Front managed to bag just three seats, all by CPI-ML (Liberation), in the polls.
