PM Modi Has Failed on His Promises, Says JD(U) Chief Sharad Yadav

JD(U) president Sharad Yadav said the NDA government has "completely failed" to fulfil the promises made by it before Lok Sabha polls last year.

Kishanganj: Amidst the poll heat in Bihar, JD(U) chief Sharad Yadav today targeted BJP as he charged that Prime Minister Narendra Modi was now using diversionary tactics after failing to fulfil his promises of creating jobs for the youth and bringing back black money parked abroad.

"You (Modi) have failed badly in creating employment opportunities for youths and bringing back black money stashed away in foreign shores," JD(U) president told an election meeting in Kishanganj district.

The NDA government has "completely failed" to fulfil the promises made by it before Lok Sabha polls last year, Mr Yadav alleged while stating that the common man has been hit hard by the rise in prices of essential commodities such as pulses.

"Pulses and onions are missing from the plates of the common man due to unprecedented increase in their prices recently," he said.

Referring to recent controversies on beef, reservation policy and incidents of communal strife in different parts of the country, Mr Yadav further charged that the Modi government was resorting to diversionary issues to conceal its failures.

The JD(U) chief also said that, contrary to what is being alleged by BJP, Bihar Chief Minister Nitish Kumar has laid the foundation of development in the state and that was a fact even his critics acknowledged.

He urged voters to elect the secular alliance of JD(U), RJD and Congress to power in Bihar for sustained development work with a social justice agenda.
