Patna:
BJP leader Shatrughan Sinha has described Congress vice president Rahul Gandhi as a "rising new star" while calling the Bihar election results a "victory of democracy".
In tweets, sent out before Nitish Kumar was sworn in today as the Chief Minister of Bihar, the BJP lawmaker also said he was a friend and admirer of RJD chief Lalu Prasad and Mr Kumar.
"It has been the victory of democracy. I wish the new government led by Nitish babu, Laluji and rising star Rahul Gandhi great success.
"Will miss the ceremony, but Nitish babu & Laluji, I remain a well-wisher, admirer and friend... and remember, once a friend, always a friend," he said.
Mr Sinha has been critical of BJP since the campaign to the elections began and strongly supported the demand of four party veterans, including LK Advani, that accountability be fixed for its massive defeat in the Bihar polls.
