We would also like to thank all the celebrities and artists who joined us today and surfers - you - for joining us!

With a special presentation of the national anthem - performed by specially gifted children - we say a warm goodbye!!

NDTV, Cocal Cola and children from all parts of the country would like to thank each and every person who contributed and even thank those who thought of doing so. We are sure to translate your contribution, wishes and thoughts to help children in our country!
We reached a little over 11 crores till a few seconds ago. It was a great amount. Coca Cola just made it even greater...

Atul Singh of Coca Cola donates 2 and a half crore!!!

272 schools now the campaign's umbrella...records have been shattered.
She went back home to her daughter but Aishwarya Rai is back as enter the final leg of our telethon.

Singer Javed Ali takes over from the guest line-up and let's his melodious voice do the 'talking.'
Quote-attack:

Anil Kapoor: What NDTV, Coke and Sachin are doing here is fantastic. I think girl drop-out rates needs to be addressed.

Atul Singh: When we went to our first school and installed a girl's toilet, 16 girls joined. So basic infrastructure is important. Attendance goes up, involvement goes up and kids are happy.

Ronnie Screwvala: Self-respect is important for all and it's for children too.

Kailash Kher: In this world, trying makes a difference. People like Prasoon who keep both their hearts and minds together make this a golden world. Sachin's presence also makes this even more noble.
From here on, we return to our list of superb celebrities as Anil Kapoor, Ronnie Screwvala and Kailash Kher walk in.

They join Prasoon Joshi, Sachin, Vikram and Coca Cola's Atul Singh.
Latest count as we move towards our big finale stands at over 220 schools.
Moon Beverages, Brindavdan Agro, Sri Sarvanaya Sugar, Wave Beverages, Brindavan Bottlers, Diamond Beverages and Bengal Beverages contribute Rs 10 lakh each.

We are making rapid progress now. Just an hour left in our 12-hour telethon. Do please contribute by clicking the button on the right. Even small contributions make a huge impact.
AND SACHIN HELPS US CROSS THE 200-SCHOOL MARK!

Sachin adopts a school. Great gesture in what has been an incredible pool of gestures through the day.
Another contribution of Rs 10 lakh, this time from Superior Drinks Pvt Ltd which helps us cross the Rs 10-crore mark.
Enrich Agro Food Products come on stage and donate Rs 10 lakh for the cause. That helps us reach 9.9 crore!
Update: The Support My School Campaign has generated Rs 9.5 crore till 1940 hrs. Thank you!
Yuvraj says the team misses Sachin but can listen to their own choice of music now!

Sachin speaks on his ODI retirement: I did not feel I should play the 2015 World Cup so I wanted to back out from the ODI scene.
Cricket Yuvraj Singh, who has been with us on the phone line, says he heard and loved Deepraj's song. Says he though, won't sing when Sachin says even the south-paw can sing well!

The maturity with which these child artists have been performing through the day is just more evidence of the fact that we need to give a solid platform to scores of children like them.
We just had a scintillating performance from Sanjana and now, Deepraj Rai comes all the way from Sikkim to enthrall all.
Also, users of the NDTV App have been asked to post their questions for Sachin and Rahul.

Santosh Kantebet asked : Do you think we should do something for our teachers as well?

Sachin replied: Absolutely. Like we have training for coaches in cricket, we should have proper training procedures for teachers.

Rahul Bose adds: A happy teacher means happy students!
"The eco-system around the place of learning, of reading is extremely important. I have seen in places in Rajasthan for example where girls have to go in the open where as toilets are basic," says Rahul.
Yeh kahaan aa gaye hum:

Rahul Bose is in the house.

The Bollywood actor tells you why reading is the most important aspect of a child's growing up years and also the importance of the environment around a learning place.
Secret to Azmat voice, asks Sachin? 'Roti,' pat comes the reply.
We return to our rich line-up of musical talent and here is Lil Champ' Azmat Hussain!
We have been keeping a close eye and are overjoyed with our donations counter.

Please keep the donations coming. There is no such thing as enough when it comes to a noble cause. Our target today though, is Rs 12.5 crore.
Hindustan Coca Cola Beverages Pvt Ltd have been supporting our cause since last year.

This time, a contribution of Rs 25 lakh. Thank you to them and to all our well-wishers and contributors.
Aishwarya listens, nods, says: Great to know of the efforts needed. Only thing is, we will follow up (on the government)!
Shashi Tharoor joins us over videophone.

Says focus on girls in schools is important. "Dropout rates worry me. Also need to focus on providing basic, fundamental things including bathrooms to all, especially girls after a particular age," he says.

Adds he is delighted that NDTV and Coca Cola have made this a mission.
Aishwarya joins in...crowd screams for an encore.

While an encore may not be happening, Aishwarya is impressed. "Exemplary," she says.

DEJA VU!

Shweta Tiwari dances to 'Kajra Re' as Aishwarya looks on with an approving smile. Aishwarya had danced to this song in 'Bunty and Babli' and Shweta seems to have taken close notes.
TV actress Shweta Tiwari takes to the stage and dances her way to the hearts of people here.
For now though, forget the World Cup as Aishwarya says she would love to visit schools and see the changes this campaign has made there.
Sachin teaches Satyam how to play a pull shot. At square leg is an unwilling Ash who is busy signing bats for charity.

Sachin hits, ball runs to Ash and she throws it right back, albeit a little less forcefully.

By the way, the Women's Cricket World Cup is on, not too far from here...
And it's time to join Sachin ki Paathshaala once again.

Admitting to this school is a new student - Satyam. Aishwarya invited but she politely refuses.
The endless list of prodigies continues to flow uninterrupted.

Satyam is not even a teenager but despite fighting all financial odds, has cleared the IIT Exam! Meets Sachin and Aishwarya.
Just for the record, the 'little' in Little Anshuman stands for 3 years!
Little Anshuman sets the stage on fire, the audience into a thrilling frenzy and Aishwarya is just dazed.

Standing ovation from everybody present.
Time for drumming action...even if you cannot see the drummer!

No he is not invisible, he is just a kid with a booming attitude!
Aishwarya presents a certificate to Prema and once again, emphaises on the need to support our children, support our schools.
Another superstar joins Aishwarya on stage - Prema Jayakumar!

Who? PREMA JAYAKUMAR!

She is the daughter of an auto rickshaw driver who topped C.A Exams this year making her as much of a celebrity as any other.
Aishwarya touches upon the main theme of Support My School Campaign, immediately.

"We are blessed. We are blessed because we have a chance to make a difference. And we three (Aishwarya, Vikram and Sachin) are only part of all of us, the three voices. We all can make a difference."

And the gleaming moment when we get a gleaming co-host with a almost equally dashing Vikram. Almost!

Aishwarya Rai Bachchan is in the house and she will voice her support  to this campaign.
For the first time now in a little over seven hours, there is a bit of restlessness here.

The clock has gone past 4 and Aishwarya Rai Bachchan will be arriving any time.
When Aamir Khan applauds an artist, he must be really good.

Sushant Singh Rajput - television actor making his Bollywood debut - joins Sachin and Vikram on the stage.
Another superb contribution. This time from SRF Foundation who present Rs 10 Lakh to the campaign.
Sachin is visibly impressed. Last time he had this expression may have been against Glenn McGrath when he bowled a yorker to the Little Master in Perth.

This time, Salman yorks Sachin and all else present, with his voice.
Child artist Salman Ali from Haryana sings 'Teri Deewani'

He sings but it's more like pronouncing that the raw talent that this country has is infinite. Audience agrees with loud cheer.
If even a handful of children taking cricket lessons from Sachin today, use the advice, World Cup 2019 and all following World Cups are coming to India. Till then, let's keep these children in school for a solid foundation.

Join us in supporting them!
And what is an upper-cut? You've seen it, you've heard of it - Sachin shows kids live.
Rohan bowls, Sachin bats, audience catches, live-blogger drops Sachin's catch!

Match report: One over, Sachin out thrice. Man of the match: Rohan! Tournament? Support My School!
Even Sachin agrees. "One of the best live performances I have seen," he says as he leads Rohan to his 'Sachin Ki Paathshala.'
While Ayushmann is a sensation, Rohan is not too shabby either. In fact, still in primary school, this boy can dance far beyond his age.
Security guards here are really earning their salaries!!

Audience in a frenzy, wants to get on stage with Ayushmann.

Ayushmann comes down to them instead as a power-packed performance comes to a resounding finish.

Did you know?

Ayushmann is an actor, singer, dancer and a poet. Here is one man who can do it all.

Coming up: Aayushman in a bhangra number from his hit-debut film Vicky Donor!
A Live Blog can probably not do justice to this song, performance and this artist.

Fantastic performance followed by a fantastic quote from Ayushmann:

"We are not supporting this cause. This cause is supporting us, our present and our future."
For all Ayushmann fans, and we know the number is going up at a rapid pace, the final few seonds before his performance has come.

It's Ayushmann with a Punjabi and Michael Jackson twist!
Interesting observation from Sachin:

"We are on the right track but we have to keep moving or the train will come and hit us from behind."

So, while we are fast reaching the Rs 7 crore mark, please keep your donations coming.
Which is Sachin's favourite century?

When NDTV and Coca Cola celebrated supporting 100 schools, Sachin came and said this was his best.

He had adopted two schools on behalf of his children and said each time he looked at his daughter, he felt for girls all over the country.
Sachin Tendulkar is welcomed back with more cheers and claps then before.
Another unique vision with which this telethon was conceived was to put men like Raju, from the far flung areas of India, on the same platform as men like theater-personality Alyque Padamsee!

This is the true collaboration of Indians for a better India.
The unbearable lightness of being Adnan Sami:

Teachers, all said earlier on the show, are equally important.

Raju is 27 and has had polio since he was three. These limitations hardly ever challenged him to fulfill his passion - teaching!

He teaches a class of 96 and says while he has had to struggle to make ends meet, he has never lost his vision of learning so that he may teach with his gained knowledge.

Salute to Raju and people like him.
Coca Cola Support My School campaign is not all about children. No, it isn't.

It is not also about songs, dance and celebrating success. It is about celebrating people hardly known like Raju from a village 80 kilometers from Bhopal.
Telethons run the risk of running out of steam. This one, most certainly isn't running out of anything - steam, energy, celebrities and donations.

Yes, Sachin will be back on stage soon and yes, the donation button remains on the right. Please click, please help and please support.
Shilpa is asked for an impromptu song by Vikram. Yes, he enjoyed the music too.

Complementing Shilpa on the guitar is Adi.

Something strange happening here.

They clapped, they cheered and they stood up for all, till now. The audience now is doing all of it together for Shilpa Rao and her dance troupe. There is an energetic vibe which is catching up with the NDTV staff as well.

Excuse us if your TV screen begins to move too. Camerapersons are swaying too!

Singer of "Tosey Naina Lagey" from the movie Anwar - Shilpa Rao - is on stage and gets a loud cheer from the audience.

By the way, our audience here comprises of schoolchildren from across Mumbai and they have been energetic and emphatic throughout.
One of the best performances so far. That was Adan Sami and he may have had the loudest cheer after Sachin today. Maybe.

Campaign continues as we edge closer towards the Rs 7 crore mark.

Much more coming up with a superb line-up of celebrities pledging their support. Have you?
Here is Adnan Sami, a man who does not need any introduction.

And after that superb performance from Kavita, we have another singing super-star lined up.
She won the Filmfare Award for Best Female Playback Singer in 2010 for her classical Sufi rendition "Gunja Sa Koi Iktara"

And Kavita Seth now sings for our campaign.
This show is also about young stars who have left all spellbound with their talent.

On stage now is Faisal Khan, the winner of Dance India Dance Little Masters, Season 2.
A sweet treat from Barfi! :

Another major contribution from Coca Cola UN Habitat. Rs 94 lakh added to our donation box.

Our total collection so far is good enough for 130 schools. But it is not good enough for either Sachin or all else involved. We want to touch 250 schools. So please make your contribution by clicking the button on the right.
Coca Cola's Atul Singh is back on stage and presents a painting made by children of a school supported by NDTV Coca Cola Support My School, to Kajol.
Ajay and Kajol donated to a school just outside Lucknow. This was during the season 1 of the Support My School Campaign. It is being inaugurated right now.

A proud moment for all indeed.
One can see clearly from the manner in which both Ajay and Kajol are speaking that this issue is extremely close to their heart.

"It is shocking that even in today's India, girls are not seen same as boys. Not just in villages but also in cities," says Ajay.

Kajol agrees and adds that that is where education is so important.
Ajay Devgan joins in on the phone:

"Funds are not a problem. Funds exist. I think the problem is with the system. There needs to be a system in place."
Kajol speaks from the heart for education:

"Education is every child's birth right. It is very important to support each and every child."

A loud cheer as Kajol walks on the stage.

She has been a very vocal supporter of education!
How the master blasted Cyrus:

Cyrus takes over the onus of singing. Surprisingly melodious!
After that really good performance, the 'demand' from children is for Sachin to sing. Politely declines!
Nikhil Paul George now on stage.

And the audience is swaying to the songs from Barfi!

Our donation bank of course, is growing!

Rs 5 lakh from Mr.Madan from Adfactors PR.
PT Usha has a question for Sachin.

I have been a fan of Sachin too! But one day, you will retire. Will you support other sports then?

Sachin: I have been a fan of your brilliant performances too. Cricket now does not leave me enough time to support other sports. But I surely will try and do more in the future.
From cricket to other sports...

Athlete PT Usha joins us from Sonepat. She says sprinters are needed by India and school provides the right platform for sporting excellence.
The audience here is a bit scared. Sachin takes the bat and assures of block-hits!
Cyrus now with the bat. Sachin behind the stumps. Sachin sweating a lot because he is working hard. In other words, Cyrus is missing everything!

Has now become a Mumbai vs Delhi match! Winner? we hope the children of India as Vikram smashes Sachin over...well...far beyond the audience here. "Oops," he says.
And now, Sachin and Cyrus take on the bowling mantle vs Vikram....bouncer and Vikram is outfoxed!
Coming back to our campaign, here is introducing legendaryTV comedian Cyrus Broacha...
Do not forget to post your questions for Sachin. He already has begun answering fans.
Sachin takes a masterclass:

And fans from Delhi ask Sachin what a paddle sweep is all about?

"Well, I play it. I was practicing sweep shot but when the bowler began making use of the rough patch, I tried to counter the inconsistent bounce. It is not a risky shot if ball is pitched outside leg. Meet the bat with the full face, not the blade."
How to play leg-glance, Sachin style.

"Ball should be on leg stump line and when you are standing, your body is always side-on. Let the bat come down straight. It moves when the bat meets the ball and the movement is from the wrist. USE THE BOWLER'S PACE!"

First up...Vikram!

Just kidding, here is Sachin who will share tips on batting.
And as we promised....next up is a cricket pitch and Sachin Tendulkar. Here are the updates from this one-of-a-kind match!
Sachin on his teachers -

"It is about passing your knowledge. For me in cricket, there was Ramakant sir who was a pillar"
Did you miss Sachin and Sachin? Enjoy:

Of course, while we need to support schoolchildren, we also need to support our teachers and train them in a proper manner.

Franklin Covey has helped us realise this and are helping us help teachers unleash the full potential of students.
And there is an incentive, an additional one to the cause to donate.

The highest individual donor will get Sachin's own bat, complete with Sachin's autograph!

There is a buzz around the studio as children are volunteering to play for Sachin.

While he doesn't ever need help playing cricket, Sachin says he will take all he can get.
We are getting ready to witness an EPIC battle here...

While there is no scorecard, here is Sachin Tendulkar vs Vikram Chandra and Atul Singh.
And an NDTV's surprise for Sachin. We introduce Sachin Tendulkar to Sachin Tendulkar.

And Sachin is joined by Harbhajan by the team from 'Gustaaki Maaf.'

The 'real' Sachin has a wide smile on his face.

Atul Singh of Coca Cola and Sachin Tendulkar, with NDTV of course, make a formidable opening pair!

Sachin says he would now want the team to strike a double century and go beyond.
A sneak peek at what's up ahead. Vicky Donor Ayushmann Khurrana will be here, as will one very special guest:

Everyone knows he can hit a mean century. But did you know Sachin could dance? Here's photo evidence:

And here is Atul Singh of Coca Cola.

Coca Cola has been a valuable supporter of our campaign and have played a pivotel role.
Why are we emphasising so much on improving infrastructure?

A lot of schools in the country do not have drinking water. If water is available, it may or may not be fit for consumption. Toilets may or may not be present.

Therefore, our mission is as important as it is basic.
While Sachin knows our target and is an active supporter, please do not forget what this is all about:

Raise 12.5 crore for 250 schools across India for better facilities.
And Sachin is here with NDTV's Vikram Chandra. Objective this time? 250 schools!

The veteran batsman has a determined look, much like he has had all these years on the field.
AND SAY HELLO TO MR. SACHIN TENDULKAR!!!
They have been telling all that they want to get the maximum practice. And it seems it surely has worked.

Children from Mumbai schools kickstart NDTV Coca Cola Support My School Campaign!
And we have begun our final countdown.....a minute left before we begin. Get set!!
It's a fantastic morning here in Mumbai with the weather just right for what promises to be an exciting Sunday for all.

By the way, if you thought it is too early for a Sunday, here is an update:

The first batch of school children, part of the performing troupe, has arrived here. And they are simply buzzing with excitement.
And our countdown has now gone down from days to hours and finally, the NDTV Support My School campaign is in it's final hour before we begin with our telethon.
Recap of season 1 of the Support My School Campaign:

Over 100 schools were transformed last season. These were from the far reaches of Solan in Himachal to Vijaywada in Andhra Pradesh and Chennai.
The cause of Indian children and the importance of schools in their lives has been stressed upon by a long-list of celebrities. While we have a line-up of stars including our brand ambassador Sachin Tendulkar, NDTV realises our most important celebrity is you.

We are broadcasting live from Mumbai as celebrities and children come together to pledge support to improve schools in India and ensure greater attendance.

Do stay tuned for all the updates...
This truly, however, is celebrating the success of children. At the moment, we have close to thirty children rehearsing their dance which is their small way of supporting our campaign for them. And we thank them the most.
So, how do we plan on celebrating the smiles across a 100 schools?

We have a host of celebrities who will join us in emphasising why our schools are where our future is, led by champion cricketer and Support My School Campaign Ambassador - Sachin Tendulkar.

In season 1 of NDTV and Coca Cola's Support My School Campaign, 100 schools in Mumbai were transformed.

As we enter the second season, our support base has grown and  so have our aims. Of course we thank each of our wellwishers - you - who helped  us achieve our goal to help schoolchildren.
Hello and welcome to the Support My School Campaign's Live Blog! We are into our second season of this campaign and we are pleased to report that the reasons to celebrate are more.

As we countdown to the start of Sunday's grand and gala event, be sure to keep this tab open for all the latest from celebrities, NDTV staff and of course, the children who smile to make our efforts worthwhile.
