New Delhi:
It is that moment when you are either still settling in, or switching off - cellphones after the last-minute flurry of messages, or just your mind. The last thing you pay attention to is that in-flight safety demonstration.
And how many times will you really watch with rapt attention as a bored flight attendant holds up a seat belt and shows you how to tighten it? Chances are the only time you sat on the edge of your seat and actually noted every move was never.
Or then, I suppose, if you flew Cebu Pacific this week.
Flight attendants on the Philippines-based airline did a neat jig in a practice session of what is planned as a regular feature on all Cebu Pacific flights. On youtube, gone viral, is a video showing the flight attendants dancing to get passengers interested in the safety demonstration. What's more, to the Lady Gaga super-hit "Just dance" if you please.
Quite the rage on youtube. Catch it here.
There are reports already of unions in Philippines protesting against the Cebu Pacific move as demeaning for flight attendants. And among the many comments on the youtube posts, there are those that say this is "unprofessional" or will "only open doors to hit on flight attendants."
Many others love it.
The jury is still out on this one - Innovative or plain provocative? We thought it was delightful. In fact, quite loved the Cebu Pacific website too at
http://www.cebupacificair.com/. Think it's the yellow.
We are crawling the Web for more great videos, tweets pictures, blogs and people that just must be showcased. If you spot some that make you stop and stare,
