Coke studio: Fusion served live

Coke studio: Fusion served live
New Delhi: Glad many of you enjoyed the discovery of Rani Taj, the British-Kashmiri dholi, as much as we did yesterday.

Let's keep with the music today, shall we? Actually, this sound is just too good to put it away for another day.

We found Pakistani artists Arif Lohar and Meesha on YouTube singing Alif Allah Chambey di Booti for a Coke Studio session. Coke Studio? More of that below, but for now get ready for 8 minutes of being blown away.

Coke studio is a project that promotes fusion music in a series of live studio recordings that are broadcast across Pakistan.

It showcases collaboration of established musical stars like Rahat Fateh Ali, Abida Parveen and Amanat Ali with upcoming talent. Devastating talent if the trio above is anything to go by.
On since 2008, Season three of the live recording studio experience was launched this May, according the Coke Studio website. More about Coke Studio here.

You can catch more Coke Studio recordings on the Facebook page. It has a healthy 300,000 fans, including some of my facebook friends I note. Glad to join the bandwagon.

We are crawling the Web for more great videos, tweets pictures, blogs and people that just must be showcased. If you spot some that make you stop and stare, send them in here. We'll be happy to credit it to your spidery efforts on the WWW.

Have a great day.
