Six labourers were killed today and several others trapped when a two-storey building caved-in during construction work in its basement in Chandigarh, police said.
The incident happened in the city's Sector 26, near grain market, when a portion of an under construction wall of the building's basement caved in, they said, adding that it led to collapse of entire building.

Efforts were still on to rescue around eight labourers believed to be buried under the debris, police said, adding the area has been cordoned off.
