AAP launched a 'Chalo Punjab' campaign ahead of the Assembly election in the state
Chandigarh:
The Aam Aadmi Party today launched a 'Chalo Punjab' campaign ahead of the Assembly election in the state and appealed to Punjabis living across the country and abroad to free their "native land from the clutches of a corrupt regime".
Launching the campaign, State Convener of AAP Gurpreet Singh Waraich said the time is ripe to save Punjab from the "corrupt" regime of Congress and SAD-BJP who he alleged have entered into a political understanding to take control of the state in turns.
On the occasion, Waraich launched a mobile App, 'Chalo Punjab Campaign' designed by a student of Stanford University, Raghu Mahajan.
"More than two lakh Punjabis from across the country and abroad are expected to participate in the campaign," Waraich said while announcing a helpline number -- 92502-23223 -- where Punjabis can register themselves to join the campaign.
