Chandigarh:
A case has been registered against a music teacher of the Army School in nearby Panchkula for allegedly sexually harassing some Class V girl students.
The accused, Sham Bahadur Thapa, is absconding since the case has been registered against him yesterday, police said today.
"A raid was conducted at his house in Sector 25 in Panchkula last night, but he was not there. We are conducting raids at various places and hope to nab him soon," a Haryana police official said today.
The principal of the school at Chandimandir cantonment had placed the teacher under suspension after receiving complaints from the students' parents.
The police, in the meanwhile, have put his mobile phone under surveillance and statements of victims, their parents and school authorities have also been recorded.
