Chandigarh: Four people were killed and 15 injured in a blast in a chemical reactor of a leading pharmaceutical company's unit at Basauli village near Chandigarh.
"The blast took place in the reactor of the pharma unit, which makes antibiotics. Fifteen persons were injured in the incident," Senior Superintendent of Police (SSP), Mohali, GPS Bhullar said.
A total of 31 people were reported to be inside the unit at the time of the mishap, he said, adding that two people were missing.
He said that the injured have been admitted to various hospitals in the area. Fire tenders from Mohali and Derabassi had also been rushed to the site.
