Chandigarh:
The librarian of a government school in Haryana's Panchkula town, adjoining Chandigarh, has been suspended following complaints from girl students that he behaved indecently with them, an official said on Thursday.
The department has also directed the principal of the Government Model Sanskriti Senior Secondary School to get a criminal case (FIR) registered against librarian Sadhu Ram for his indecent behaviour towards girl students, a spokesman of the department of secondary education said.
The school principal had brought the complaint against the librarian to the notice of senior education department officials.
"The girls of this school had collectively complained that the librarian should not take their adjustment classes as his behavior is inappropriate. The girls of classes 6, 7, 8, 9 and 10 had indicated that during the adjustment period, he sends all the boys out of their class to the playground and girl students remain in the class itself. His behavior during this period is not appropriate," the spokesman said, quoting the complaint.
