Chandigarh: A young man was arrested in Chandigarh on Sunday for shooting at his father over a property dispute, police said.
Kesar Singh, said to be over 70 years old and a retired chief engineer from a government department, was shot at from close range by his son Harminder Singh at their house in Sector 36 following an argument over a property issue.
The victim was rushed to hospital with two bullet wounds. Doctors said he was out of danger.
Harminder Singh was arrested and booked for attempt to murder.
