An elderly couple was thrashed at their mobile shop in Chandigarh
Chandigarh:
A man is seen on camera repeatedly slapping a woman and her husband, both in their 60s, at their mobile phone shop in a market complex in Chandigarh.
In the disturbing visuals caught on CCTV camera, not one neighbor or friend is seen trying to stop the attacker or help the couple.
On Thursday, the man had reportedly come to the shop in Chandigarh's Sector 18 to meet the couple's son over some dispute over his handset. After an argument, he started slapping them.
The visuals show the man slapping the woman hard and attacking her husband. At one point, the weeping woman rushes to try and shield her husband as the attacker catches hold of the elderly man and head-butts him.
The attacker has been arrested. The police say he was drunk.
The couple was badly hurt. The man has a fractured hand while the woman has a wounded jaw.
