Chandigarh : Police in Punjab used water cannons and resorted to lathicharge against a group of lawyers protesting outside the Punjab state assembly in Chandigarh today.
The lawyers were protesting a complaint lodged against some lawyers for allegedly assaulting a policeman outside the High Court a few days ago.
"We will keep on protesting until our needs are met," one lawyer said.
