Chandigarh: In a measure of the craze for fancy vehicle registration number, the number CH01-AP-0001 fetched the highest amount of Rs. 26.05 lakh in an auction in Chandigarh today.
The Registering and Licensing Authority of the union territory of Chandigarh said that for the auction of CH01-AP series, there were 99 bids and a sum of Rs. 69.21 lakh was collected, said an official release.
The second highest number CH01-AP-0005 was sold for Rs. 4.50 lakh.
