Here are the 10 latest developments in the case:
Questions are being raised about the lack of security in the heritage complex. A Bodh Gaya Temple Management Committee or BTMC guard has accused the police of inaction, saying that they had been deployed "near the lamp" but "never came out".
Sixteen men from a private security company called Cobra Security Agency, who guard the temple complex from the inside, however, blamed the BTMC guards saying that they handle night shifts.
The Bihar Police's presence in the temple arena is negligible at any given time, sources told NDTV.
The District Magistrate, on his part, claimed that security measures were taken and CCTV cameras increased at the complex.
Meanwhile, the probe trial in the case has gone cold with the NIA releasing the three men and a woman they had detained yesterday. (Investigators back to square one)
The investigation was formally handed over to the NIA last evening by the Centre. Bihar Chief Minister Nitish Kumar has sought Central help for investigations and for security at the temple. (Read)
In the three days since the blasts, however, there has been more politics than headway in investigations. The Bharatiya Janata Party slammed the Central government for failing to tackle terror and criticised Mr Shinde for visiting the blast site three days after the blasts.
Mr Shinde, who called the blasts "alarming", said that the government will not jump to any conclusion about claims purportedly made by the Indian Mujahideen on Twitter about the blasts. (Read)
The Home Minister said the Centre acted the moment blasts occurred. "We sent teams immediately by air, but due to bad weather, the flight had to turn back," he said. The flight reached Gaya the following day, he said.
The Home Minister also said the Centre has deployed two high-level teams from the National Security Guard or NSG and the NIA to probe the multiple blasts.
