The suspects in the attacks on the satirical magazine Charlie Hebdo were holed up for hours in a building North East of Paris. They had one hostage with them.

The police went into the grocery store in what appeared to be a coordinated operation with the assault on the brothers.
People were seen leaving the grocery store soon after. At least four hostages were killed, a police source told news agency Reuters.
On Wednesday, 12 people were shot dead allegedly by the brothers named Cherif Kouachi 32 and Said Kouachi at the Paris office of Charlie Hebdo.
The massacre was allegedly in revenge for cartoons printed by the magazine of the Prophet Mohammed.
