A state of emergency has been declared across France and its borders have been closed after seven near-simultaneous attacks in Paris left over 100 people dead on Friday evening.

"This is a terrible hardship that is striking us. I have asked for military reinforcement. This is a state of emergency. Certain places will be closed, travel will be banned," said French President Francois Hollande. Sources say he has cancelled his participation at G20 meeting in Turkey this weekend.
Over 100 people were killed at the Bataclan concert hall in central Paris, barely 200 metres from the former offices of Charlie Hebdo which were attacked by jihadists in January. According to reports, the people had been taken hostage there.
Police stormed the concert venue where attackers had opened fire on the crowd, a security source said.
About 40 people were killed in other locations including one near the Stade de France stadium, situated in the north of Paris, where France were playing Germany in a football match.
An AFP journalist heard multiple explosions. One explosion was a suicide attack, several sources said.
Another attack was reported at a Cambodian restaurant called Petit Cambodge, not far from the Bataclan venue in northeast Paris.
"News from Paris is anguishing and dreadful. Prayers with families of the deceased. We are united with people of France in this tragic hour," tweeted Prime Minister Narendra Modi.
US President Barack Obama condemned the night of violence in Paris as an "attack on all of humanity". "Those who think that they can terrorize the people of France or the values that they stand for are wrong," Obama said in a hastily arranged appearance before reporters at the White House.
German Chancellor Angela Merkel and European Union chief Jean-Claude Juncker said they were "deeply shocked" by the attacks.
French authorities have been on high alert since the January attacks on Charlie Hebdo magazine and a Jewish supermarket, and the country has been named as a priority target by Islamic State militants.
