Delhi's Odd-Even scheme that came to a close on Friday after a two-week trial has been successful, Chief Minister Arvind Kejriwal said.
Here are results of Delhi's Odd-Even scheme in numbers:
Total cars fined so far: 9,144. Of that 2,889 were served by Traffic Police and 6,255 by Transport Department and Sub-Divisional Magistrates.
Estimated fines collected (fines served at Rs 2,000 each): Rs 1.8 crore
Calls received on helpline number: 18,614
Complaints received against auto-rickshaw drivers, for refusing passengers or overcharging: 917
Total downloads of Delhi government's Poochho app: 40,000, said Delhi Transport Minister Gopal Rai.
PM 2.5 Pollution during Odd-Even rule: In 400 range, said Mr Rai. In December it was over 600, he said.
Estimated dip in pollutions: 20 to 25 per cent, said Mr Rai.
Daily service by each public bus, on average: 220 km, said Arvind Kejriwal. Earlier, due to congestion they could only service 160 km in a day.
People on buses per day: 53 lakh, said Mr Kejriwal. Before the odd-even scheme on an average 47 lakh people took the bus.
Average reduction in commute time: 50 per cent, said Mr Kejriwal. "A person taking two hours to travel managed the same now in one hour," he said.
