Mumbai University to conduct re-examinations of all three leaked papers: Top 5 facts

After three question papers of the Mumbai University were leaked within a week of each other last month, the university has decided to conduct re-examinations of all the three papers.

Here are the top five facts on the case:

  1. Two engineering papers, Basic Electricals and Electronics Engineering exam held on May 26 and Applied Physics-II paper for first-year students conducted on May 23 had been leaked. Scanned copies of the Applied Physics-II paper were uploaded on Facebook.

  2. The re-examinations will be held on June 14, 16 and 18 for the three leaked papers. The decision was taken during the board of examination meeting held today.

  3. 14 people have been arrested for leaking two Mumbai University exams last month. Those arrested by the Crime Branch of the Mumbai police include five students, two professors and peons at the university.

  4. Two of the arrested students are third year engineering students who sold the questions to first year students for upto Rs 10.000.

  5. 20,000 students will have to take the exams again.
