Chennai: One person has died and seven others have been injured in an accident at Kishkinta, a theme park outside Chennai.
According to local police, the dead person, identified as Manikandan, and the seven injured are employees of the park.
The injured are being treated.
Although police say they are yet to confirm what went wrong, sources say the accident took place on a Ferris wheel which was being revived over the last few days after the recent floods.
