A Sharjah-bound Air India flight carrying 120 passengers returned to the airport in Chennai on Friday soon after it took off following a technical snag.
The flight landed safely and alternate arrangements are being made to fly them to their destination, airport officials said.
The flight returned at 6.20 pm and it was scheduled to fly via Tiruvananthapuram, they said.
