Chennai: In a major catch, Customs and CISF officials today seized gold biscuits worth Rs 26 crore which were found dumped in a dustbin at the airport in Chennai.
The gold biscuits, weighing 7.5 kg, were found wrapped in a plastic bag and dumped in the bin which was noticed by house-keeping staff who in turn informed officials, airport sources said.
CISF and Customs officials recovered the gold and are probing as to who had dumped it there.
